This set of procedures uses tissue from the thighs for breast reconstruction.

Summary

Thigh flap breast reconstruction options transplant excess tissue from the inner or outer thigh to the chest wall to reconstruct a breast or breasts. While most patients have enough abdominal tissue to reconstruct one or both breasts, there are cases where it is not possible to use an abdominal based flap for breast reconstruction. Thigh flaps tend to be the preferred natural tissue reconstructive option for those patients.
