Maureen Beederman, MD, is a highly skilled, board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with fellowship training in reconstructive microsurgery. She is an assistant professor of surgery at The University of Chicago, where performs complex reconstructive surgery for a wide range of conditions from head to toe, with a special interest in breast reconstruction. Dr. Beederman studied biology at Northwestern University and earned her medical degree at The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She went on to complete her residency training in plastic surgery at The University of Chicago, followed by a reconstructive microsurgery fellowship at NYU Langone Health. Dr. Beederman takes a collaborative and compassionate approach to patient care, believing that surgical solutions and treatment options should be tailored to each patient’s specific needs, optimizing both form and function following reconstruction.
