Erica Poole is a Board-Certified Genetic Counselor for The Cancer Institute at Saint Francis Hospital. She is a graduate of The Joan H. Marks Graduate Program in Human Genetics at Sarah Lawrence College; University of Cincinnati alumni with a bachelors of science in Biology, plus certificates in both Chemistry and Deaf Studies. As a clinical genetic counselor of eight years, her work focuses on creating a union between genetic testing for hereditary cancer predispositions and patient empowerment and understanding. She is a strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion for all patients and believes every person’s story is valuable and worthy of being told and heard. Outside of work, she is a dedicated foodie, OTF member, double softball teammate, Auntie to Leo and Max, and cat mom of Archer and August.
