Carina Livoti is writer, editor, and storyteller who is passionate about patient education and advocacy. Personal and familial health crises not-so-gently nudged her work toward improving healthcare communication and finding new ways for patients to not just hear and understand but to be heard and understood. She hopes that her work with BreastReconstruction.Org will give people the language and tools they need to meaningfully engage with their health and to speak for themselves, on their terms. Outside of work, Carina writes comedy and fiction and serves as a human jungle-gym for her two small nieces.
